The Queen's Cross for Bravery (abbrev: QCB) is the highest award for bravery. Honorees within canon include Susan Hibson (one of the youngest recipients ever)[1], Dame Raquel Skouras[2], and Alistair Walsingham-Chatfield[3].
TRMN Information
In The Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association, Inc. (TRMN), the QCB is the second highest award for valor and is also the second highest non-military award. To qualify for this award, the recipient must provide life saving services, even if the life is not saved. Rescuing a kitten from a tree would not qualify. Saving a kitten from drowning in a river would. For this award to be granted, attestation from at least one witness is required. The recipient is entitled to the post nominal letters of ‘QCB’.
