}}}} was a Gryphon-class Superdreadnought within Sixth Fleet. Commanded by CAPTJG John Gilfillan, Titan claimed Houston, TX as her charter city.
History
Upgrading from {{#if:hcn
|HMS Ares (CL-85) |{{#if:CL-85 |HMS Ares |HMS Ares
}}}}, HMS Titan was brought into commission in Sixth Fleet out of Missouri City, TX in June of 2016, under the command of Captain (Junior Grade) Larry Cameron.<ref name="BSD160601">BuShips Directive 1606-01</ref> Within the following month, the ship proved herself to be a fast mover: by July, she had already joined Task Group 61.1 under TF61,<ref name="ND16JUL01">Naval Directive 16JUL-01</ref>, and stood up a section as MARDET Titan.<ref name="FCOMO1607B">FORCECOM Order 1607-B</ref>
In June of 2017 command shifted to CAPTJG John Gilfillan,<ref name="BSD170602">BuShips Directive 1706-02</ref> where it remained until February, 2018: at this point, the captain and crew upgraded to {{#if:hcn
|HMS Salamander (CLAC-31) |{{#if:CLAC-31 |HMS Salamander |HMS Salamander
}}}}, returning Titan to the Active Reserve.<ref name="BuShips Directive 1802-05">BuShips Directive 1802-05</ref>
