Imperial Order of Potsdam

The Imperial Order of Potsdam is an order of chivalry of the Andermani Empire. There are no known recipients of this honor in canon.
TRMN Information
This is the Imperial Andermnni Navy equivalent to the Order of Queen Elizabeth.
This order is awarded for donations to The Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association, Inc. either via PayPal (a link of which can be found on our website or by emailing the First Lord of the Admiralty) or other non-monetary donations.
Starting January 1, 2017 the listing of accepted donations that can be applied towards membership in the Imperial Order of Potsdam can be found on the website.
Donations may be cumulative over time and your level within the Order can increase. The four highest awardable classes entitled the member to utilize the prefix “Sir” or “Dame”.
This order is not hereditary. For each subsequent award, the member is promoted within the Order to reflect their new amount of cumulative donations made as listed above.
The five awardable classes in descending rank are:
- Grand Cross (Großkreuz) - equivalent to Knight Grand Cross
- Grand Officer (Großoffizier) - equivalent to Knight Commander
- Officer (Offizier) - equivalent to Knight Companion and Knight
- Knight (Ritter) - equivalent to Companion and Officer
- Medal (Medaille) - equivalent to Medal and Member
This order is not hereditary, meaning that the induction of any member into this order is valid only for the lifetime of that member.
For each subsequent award, the member moves up one class.[1] One may hold only one class of the order at any time.
Imperial Andermani Navy personnel awarded any level of the OQE will convert it to the equivalent level of the Imperial Order of Potsdam. However, personnel are authorized to wear the appropriate SEM chest star until such time as the Andermani chest star is available.
How to Obtain
For donations to The Royal Manticoran Navy, the benefactor will be inducted into the Imperial Order of Potsdam.[2]
There are five classes which can be awarded, the four highest of which confer a knighthood on the recipient, allowing them to prepend "Sir" or "Dame" before their first name. The classes of the order are: ($USD):
- Grand Cross – Donations totaling more than $901
- Grand Officer – Donations ranging from $301 up to, and including $900
- Officer - Donations ranging from $201 up to, and including $300
- Knight - Donations ranging from $101 up to, and including $200
- Medal - Donations ranging from $25 up to, and including $100.
Donations may be cumulative over time and promotion within the Order will be given as a member reaches the next tier.[2] One may hold only one class of the order at any time.
