The Armed Forces Service Medal (abbrev: AFSM) is an award issued to any member of the Royal Manticoran Navy or the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps following an unknown period of service.[1]
TRMN Information
According to Admiralty Order 1006-06, this award is granted after passing the enlisted and officers primary examinations from the Saganami Island Academy (SIA). This was later confirmed by the Awards Manual. The AFSM is 71st and the final ribbon in the order of precedence, sitting below the Non-Commissioned Officer Senior Course Ribbon.[2]
How to Obtain
Members can obtain this award by successfully completing two specific courses from the Saganami Island Academy; either SIA-RMN-0001 or SIA-RMMC-0001, which is the Basic Enlisted Course for the Naval and Marine Enlisted Academies. Additionally, you need to pass SIA-RMN-0101 or SIA-RMMC-0101, the first officer's exam from the Officer Academy. Upon completion of the officer exam, the Sixth Space Lord should automatically issue the Armed Forces Service Medal.
