The Manticore Medal (abbrev. MM) is the third highest gallantry award of the RMA, which is only awarded to Commissioned and Warrant officers. It is awarded to officers who perform conspicuous gallantry and risk of life in combat with an enemy force but do not qualify for an award of the Cormany Star. The recipients of the medal are entitled to use the postnominal letters of ‘MM’ after their name. Those receiving further awards may use ‘with cluster’ or ‘with clusters’ as well. The Manticore Medal can be awarded posthumously.
TRMN Information
The criteria for this award is exceptional service to the Royal Manticoran Army, either by demonstrating consistently outstanding performance over time, or by performing a particular task or service to a high standard of excellence, but not enough to qualify for the Cormany Star. The recipient is entitled to the post nominal letters of ‘MM’..[1]
Equivalent Honors
The equivalent medal awarded to qualifying RMA enlisted members is the Distinguished Service Medal.
The Manticore Medal is of equivalent level to the Saganami Cross awarded to qualifying Royal Manticoran Navy and Royal Manticoran Marine Corps officers.
