Introduction

The Grand Alliance Naval Academy (GANA) oversees the combined Saganami Island Naval Academy (SIA), the Imperial Prince Adalbert Marineakademie (PAMA), the Isaiah Mackenzie Naval Academy (IMNA), and the soon to be launched Republic of Haven Naval Academy (RHNA), allowing a combined administrative staff to provide unity of command and instruction to all of the naval branches of the Grand Alliance. GANA’s focus is on continual training and the ongoing self-improvement of enlisted personnel and officers in those fleets along with other students that pursue coursework. GANA offers its educational services through the following two main training centers: the GANA Main Line, which offers rank courses through each naval branch’s college, and the Naval Technical Specialties College (NTSC). Each unit is headed by a Vice Commandant and offers coursework primarily to naval branch personnel, as well as other service members.

Organization

Commandant

The Commandant is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the Grand Alliance Naval Academy including supervising the development of new courses for the academy (in cooperation with the BuTrain Course Development staff), overseeing the faculty and staff, and the hiring and relieving of all faculty and staff.

Vice Commandants

As noted above, the GANA Main Line and the Naval Technical Specialties College are both headed by a GANA Vice Commandant. One of these individuals simultaneously serves as the GANA Deputy Commandant. The Vice Commandant of the GANA Main Line oversees the Saganami Island Naval College, the Isaiah MacKenzie Naval College, the Prinz Adalbert Marineakademie, the Republic of Haven Naval College, and the Grand Alliance Advanced Tactical Center (the ‘Crusher’). The Vice Commandant of the Naval Technical Specialties College (NTSC) oversees the RMN/GSN/RHN Technical Specialties College, the Tsingtao College of Naval Specialization, and all associated instructors.

Instructors

Instructors are the primary point of contact between the students and the Grand Alliance Naval Academy. Instructors oversee one or more series of courses within a sequence or specialty school. They ensure that courses are graded, results are entered into MEDUSA, certificates of completion are distributed, and students are provided with a first line of support when needed.
