The Army Commendation Decoration (abbrev. ACD) is awarded to those members of the Royal Manticoran Army who have distinguished themselves by meritorious service or achievement in non-combat situations, but do not qualify for the Meritorious Service Medal. It is generally awarded to any whom are performing outstanding work. Additional awards of the ACD are signified with a star attachment on the ribbon, referred to as a "cluster." The Army Commendation Decoration cannot be awarded posthumously.

The Army Commendation Decoration is of equivalent level to the Navy Commendation Decoration awarded to qualifying Royal Manticoran Navy and Royal Manticoran Marine Corps enlisted personnel. The ribbons are of the same pattern, but in different colors.
