Weapons Qualification Badge
A Weapons Qualification Badge is a type of insignia worn by Royal Manticoran Army (RMA) personnel who demonstrate marksmanship proficiency in use of certain weapons.[1]

The ranks, in ascending order, are
- Marksman
- Sharpshooter
- Expert
- High Expert
Weapons
Qualifying weapons include:
- rifle
- pistol
- plasma rifle
- plasma carbine
- tri-barrel
- grenade launcher
- grenade
- flechette gun
- disruptor
RMN Marksmanship
The RMA insignia differ from the awards used by the Royal Manticoran Navy and Royal Manticoran Marine Corps, who issue medals suspended from ribbons, and only for Pistol and Rifle marksmanship.
Use in TRMN
In The Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association, Inc. (TRMN), marksmanship awards are issued for gaming activity, not firearms proficiency.[2]
Marksmanship, in the form of gaming activity is one the categories of qualifying activity for the Combat Infantry Badge.
