Spacer Third Class

A Spacer 3rd Class or E-1 is an enlisted person who has just joined the Royal Manticoran Navy. Once they pass basic training and "A" School, they are referred to by their rate. So a Corpsman would not be called "Spacer 3rd Class," but rather "Corpsman 3rd Class."
