Silesian Peacekeeping and Observation Medal

The Silesian Peacekeeping and Observation Medal (abbrev. SPOM) is awarded to those members of the Royal Manticoran Army assigned to peacekeeping and the reconstruction in the Star Kingdom of Manticore’s half of Silesia. Qualification is service in the Silesian Confederation for one Manticoran year's accumulated reconstruction duty or for one combat mission in the Silesian Confederation. The Army Silesian Peacekeeping and Reconstruction Medal cannot be awarded posthumously. There are no subsequent award decorations for the Army Silesian Peacekeeping and Reconstruction Medal.
The Army Achievement Medal is of equivalent level to the Navy/Marine Achievement Medal awarded to qualifying Royal Manticoran Navy and Royal Manticoran Marine Corps personnel. The ribbons are of the same pattern, but in different colors.
TRMN Information
This award is given to Members who have undertaken extreme or lengthy travel on behalf of the TRMN. The two important criteria are “extreme or lengthy” and “on behalf of the TRMN.” The former requires a judgment call by the Unit Commander. A possible standard might be 5 hours travel time, for example. The latter is more exact: Taking a long road trip to attend a convention with the other members of your chapter, for example, does not qualify. Doing so because you are going to be presenting a class, a demonstration or manning a recruiting table would qualify.[1]
The equivalent award to qualifying Royal Manticoran Navy and Royal Manticoran Marine Corps personnel is the Silesian Anti-Piracy Campaign Medal.
