Flag officers are the senior commissioned naval officer ranks and includes the equivalent military paygrades of F-1 through F-6 within The Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association, Inc.. In the Marine Corps and Army officers of these ranks are referred to as General Officers.
These are supervisory roles and comprise the heads of fleets, armies, and the Space Lords, as well as the high command of both the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps and Royal Manticoran Army.
In the Royal Manticoran Navy, there are two divisions of seniority for admirals, Red and Green. Promotion runs in a path as follows:

Although it is necessary to test up to your level, these positions are by appointment only.[1] Members who advance to these ranks often spend 10-40 hours a week (depending on their level) involved in guiding the operations of the association at large.
