Battle Squadron 2 (abbrev: BatRon 2) is a Superdreadnought-strength squadron reporting to Task Group 91.1 within the Tenth Fleet. Commanded by RADM Sir Joseph Harney, GCE, MC, SC, OG, CGM, GS, QBM, RMN, from his flagship HMS Revenge, this squadron's area of operations lies within the state of California, specifically the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento Valley, and Central California regions.
History
BatRon 2 was formed and established in September 2016 by order of the acting First Space Lord, ADM Sir John Roberts.[1]. The inaugural and current commanding officer is RADM Sir Joseph Harney. The charter member vessels are HMS Revenge (flagship), HMS Medusa, HMS Thunderer, and HMS Intractable.
