A Corporal or [[E-4 is an enlisted person in the marine corps or army. It is the lowest non-cmmissioned officer rank. A soldier who has received their first chevron is generally referred to as "Corporal."
Honorverse
In peacetime, a corporal will have served 26 months in the service, and six months Time in Grade.[1] In the marines, there is also a competitive exam to determine qualification for NCO rank.[1] The Royal Manticoran Army uniform is green with yellow stripes bordered by blue. The Royal Manticoran Marine Corps is black with yellow stripes bordered by green.
TRMN
If the soldier has completed their Basic Enlisted Exam, with five months Time in Grade, they are appointed to this rank.[2]
