Re: | Posting of fundraising campaigns in TRMN Facebook groups (Admiralty Order 1611-02) |
This Admiralty Order sets forth the official policy concerning the posting of fundraising campaigns in TRMN Facebook groups. While the leadership of The Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association understands that individuals often find themselves dealing with tough times, the frequency of these postings is increasing to a level that is becoming untenable. Therefore, effective immediately, the following policy is in effect.
- No fundraising campaigns may be posted in any of the main TRMN Facebook groups. The main TRMN Facebook groups are TRMN Announcements & Orders as well as the TRMN Component groups (Which currently are, but not limited to RMN, RMMC, RMA, GSN, RHN, IAN, SFC/SFS, RMACS and RMMM).
- Official TRMN sponsored fundraising campaigns are allowed in the main TRMN Facebook groups when posted by a member of the Royal Council, the First Lord of the Admiralty, one of the Space Lords or a senior member of their staff at their direction.
- Posting of fundraising campaigns are allowed in Fleet and other unit Facebook groups provided that the group has a defined policy that is available to the public. Storing such policy in the groups file section would meet this requirement.
