Protector’s Order 2101-002 was issued 27 January 2021 by the High Admiral of the Grayson Space Navy. It outlines the appointment of a Deputy SMCPON of the Grayson Space Navy.

By the order of the High Admiral, with the authority given to me by the Protector and the Keys, I hereby appoint Steadholder Maelstrom, David P Melsome, to the position of Deputy Senior Master Chief Petty Officer of the Grayson Space Navy. This is by request of Steadholder Chernakova, Kathy Rau, and many member of the GSN, and his qualities are legion and known. There is no other that I feel would do as good of a job. With this appointment, David P Melsome is hereby promoted to the rank of Senior Master Chief Petty Officer, with all of the rights and responsibilities therein. By my hand this 27th Day of January,
