HMS Vengeance (DD-11) was a Havoc-class Destroyer within Third Fleet. Commanded by LCDR Benjamin Tift, Vengeance claimed Chapel Hill, TN as her charter city.
History
HMS Vengeance began her service when commissioned in November of 2013 LCDR Michael Hunnicutt; this incarnation of Vengeance patrolled Mechanicsville, VA while assigned to Third Fleet.[1] At some point between her commission and mid-2014, command shifted to CAPTJG Amanda Enders, under whom the ship upgraded to HMS Agamemnon (BC-544) in May of 2014.[2] As a result, Vengeance was returned to the Active Reserve.
Vengeance returned to commission in September of 2014, under LCDR Benjamin Tift; while she remained in Third Fleet, she'd moved to Chapel Hill, TN.[3] While this is the hull's longest deployment, it was not without issue; in October of 2016, her Executive officer was relieved of duty, leaving Vengeance without an Executive Offcer.[4] Being unable to muster up a fully trained and willing replacement, the ship was decommissioned in November and returned to the Active Reserve.[5]
