The Award for Valor (abbrev. AV) is the "Second Lowest Gallantry" award issued to qualifying civilian Diplomatic Corps and Special Intelligence Service personnel with paygrades of C-11 or higher..
Equivalent precedence awards
Civilian personnel with paygrades up to C-10 are awarded the Superior Honor Award.
Equivalent "Second Lowest Gallantry" level awards of other branches include:
- Order of Gallantry (Royal Manticoran Navy)
- Medal of Gallantry (Royal Manticoran Army)
