Please note, as a chapter grows above the minimums for each type of ship, they may commission additional officers so long as the proper ratio of officer to enlisted is maintained for that ship. It is known that virtually all ships will have a higher ratio at Commissioning than the 20% maximum, this is allowable as minimum requirements for the type must be met. However, as a chapter grows larger, it must adhere to the 20% ratio for all growth above minimum numbers. For example, a Light Cruiser Commissions with minimum numbers (3 officers and 5 crew) and has an amazingly successful recruitment event at a local convention; they can then commission additional officers as long as they stay within the ration (if they grow to 20 crew members, they could commission an additional officer). | |||
