Naval Directive 21AU-01 was issued 17 Aug 2021 under the authority of the Deputy First Space Lord. This directive rescinds Naval Directive 16SE-02 and establishes Master-at-Arms and Boatswain as ratings.

Sir David:
Directive 21AU-01.01: In consultation with the First Lord of the Admiralty, His Most Serene Grace The Grand Duke of Lynx & New Scania, it is the desire of the First Space Lord, Her Most Noble Grace The Duchess of Split Rock, that Naval Directive 16SE-02 be rescinded.
Directive 21AU-01.02: The Bureau of Personnel is directed to make the ratings MASTER-AT-ARMS and BOATSWAIN available for career paths henceforth within the Royal Manticoran Navy for all qualified enlisted personnel.
The above directive is issued with an effective date of 18 August 2021 at 0001 hours.
