This award is forwarded from KAdm Geoff Zoeller and endorsed by RADM Romero: The day before MarsCon opened, Managing Director Peter Gold escorted Honorverse authors Tom Pope and Jacob Holo, Jacob’s wife and fellow author H.P. Holo, and BuNine member and House of Steel co-author Chris Weuve around the museum ship USS Wisconsin. Managing Director Gold arranged for a private tour and spend a significant amount of time leading the authors through the spaces, explaining ship construction and engineering operations of the vessel for a full day. They explored the ship from the lower engineering spaces to the bridge. This level of hospitality to visiting Honorverse and BuNine officers demonstrates Managing Director Gold’s dedication to TRMN and his is own standard of excellence above and beyond the call of duty. His performance here enhanced the weekend for all involved.

Gryphon Star
Mack Schienschang
This nomination is forwarded from CPO Anthony Schienschang, and endorsed by RADM Romero with the following comment: “This was one of Mack’s first conventions, and certainly the first opportunity to meet David Weber, who is famous for welcoming and engaging with younger fans…Mack was on a high for the rest of the weekend after that. While helping at the table, he would cheerfully hand out TRMN-related con badge ribbons to visitors and helped build enthusiasm for the Stephanie Harrington books with interested visitors. I know he’ll continue to be a helpful and enthusiastic member of TRMN going forward.”
Conspicuous Bravery Medal
Over the past few years BuTrain has increased our expectations for beta testers. Beta testers for BuTrain perform an important function in the end-stage evaluation of courses. They take the tests and evaluate whether sources can be found and how difficult questions are to answer, and evaluate how a course series flows overall. We have asked them to give much more detailed feedback on courses and questions, so doing a beta test is more work than simply taking a course normally. We also evaluate their feedback level.
As such we wish to recognise our beta testers with an appropriate award. Each Course Series can be between 3 and 6 courses.
Managing Director Peter Gold, RMMM (RMN-2849-15) is nominated for an Conspicuous Bravery Medal for completing a flag level beta series with responses.
Superior Service Medal
Dame Christina Neitz, Duchess Westmarch, is hereby Awarded the Superior Service Medal for the following action. During December of 2023 Duchess Westmarch made the personal sacrifice of blood and/or monetary support to their local blood drive center and supported their community with a life-critical resource that cannot be grown or manufactured. As part of the communal challenge, they were asked to choose to have their donation represent either the Imperial Andermani Navy or the Royal Manticoran Army. In a tight competition involving the sacrifice of time, money, and blood, the IAN was victorious, but the distant communities received a critically needed resource.
Carolyn M Prickett RMN-4857-17
Members of both HMS Agamemnon and HMS Atropos performed many hours of service to MarsCon 2024 over the three days of the convention. Through the majority of this service, they wore recognizable convention-minimum attire, which convention attendees could use to connect TRMN with services offered by the convention. In their service to the convention by running the Con Suite (Blacks and McDonalds) and serving as a volunteer assistant for convention registration throughout the weekend (Prickett), these members performed excellently and were credit to their chapters.
