Order Text

To: All Officers and Enlisted in the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps
From: Marshal of the Corps Sean Niemeyer, Commandant of the RMMC
Re: Regimental Colors (Corps Directive 01-2204)

As the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps continues to grow, RMMC regiments continue to grow with it. Historically one of the most important objects to a regiment has been its Colors. A regiment’s colors were used to show their respective troops where they should rally for battle.

Therefore, as of the date of this Order, by my hand, and by the authority of the Sovereign, Queen of Manticore Elizabeth III, Regimental Colors are established according to the following;

RMMC Regimental Colors shall be made of wool bunting upon which, insignia, lettering, and numbers, as required shall be sewn onto each side. However, if wool bunting is not available, heavy-weight rayon banner cloth may be used. In that case, the insignia, letters, and numbers shall be silkscreened on each side so that the colors may be correctly read from either side. Colors, insignia, text, and numbers shall be representative of the character and history of the regiment.

Regardless of the material used, Regimental Colors shall measure 3 feet 9 inches on the hoist and 3 feet on the fly. The shape of the Regimental Colors can be one of the following; square, burgee, or swallowtail.

In the top corner of the colors that attach to the pole, a brass grommet shall be attached, through which long gold tassels shall be threaded and tied off.

The top of the pole shall be adorned with a gold rampant manticore.

All proposed designs must be approved by BuComm, the Office of Heraldry, COMFORCECOM, and the Marshal of the Corps. Once approved a regiment may make or procure their Regimental Colors and then display them at all official tRMN functions.

The above effective 27-APR-22.

In Honour of the Queen!

Issued by:
Marshal of the Corps
Lord Sir Sean Niemeyer, KSK, OM, KDE, KCR, GS
