BuShips Directive 1410-06 was issued 21 October 2014 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. It commissions HMS Hawk (CA-428).

My fellow Manticorans,
Effective as of 0001 Hours (EST) on October 21, 2014, it is my pleasure to announce the commissioning of HMS Hawk, CA-428, under the command of Captain (j.g.) Tim Ward. This is a Saganami-C Class Heavy Cruiser and is assigned to the Third Fleet, based in Greenville, TN.
As of the date of Commissioning, the following personnel are assigned to HMS Hawk:
- Captain (j.g.) Tim Ward (and assigned as CO, HMS Hawk)
- Commander Cindy Ward (and assigned as XO, HMS Hawk)
- Senior Chief Petty Officer Greg Franklin (and assigned as Bosun, HMS Hawk)

- Spacer 3rd Class Matt Brace
