Admiralty Order 1507-02 was issued July 28, 2015 by the First Lord of the Admiralty. It establishes the uniform regulations for wear of aiguillets and cords.

As of the publication of this Order, the following changes are effective: Definitions:
Aiguillette – An ornamental cord consisting of braided loops worn on the right shoulder and ending in metal tips. Aiguillettes worn optionally on the service dress uniform, and mandatory for higher uniforms.
Shoulder Cord with tip(s) – A shoulder cord with tip(s) is a decoration of braided cord with a single loop ending in a metal tip worn on the right shoulder. This type is worn by Senior Staff Officers. Shoulder Cord with tip(s) is worn optionally on the service dress uniform, and mandatory for higher uniforms.
Shoulder Cord – A shoulder cord is a decoration of braided cord with a single loop worn on the right shoulder. This type is worn by Senior Staff Officers. Shoulder Cord is worn optionally on the service dress uniform, and mandatory for higher uniforms.
Proper Wear:
Civilians do not wear Aiguillettes or Shoulder Cords, unless otherwise noted.
Royal Council – RMN, RMA, and RMMC members of the Royal Council, as befits their position as Aide-de-Camp to her most Imperial Majesty, Elisabeth III, wear an Aiguillette where one cord is silver and the other blue, both with silver tips. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by members of the Royal Council and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
High Admiral of the Grayson Space Navy – As befits this individual’s position as an Aide-de-Camp to the Protector of Grayson, this person wears an Aiguillette where both cords are silver with silver tips. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by the High Admiral and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Space Lords – As befits these individuals as Aide-de-Camp to the Royal Council, they wear a gold Aiguillette with gold tips. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by these Officers and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
STAFF TO THE FIRST LORD OF THE ADMIRALTY
Chief of Staff – As befits this individual as an Aide-de-Camp to the FLA, they wear a Gold Aiguillette with gold tips. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
The Judge Advocate General – A Black and Gold Shoulder Cord w/ gold tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Staff Intelligence Officer – A Black and Gold Shoulder Cord w/ gold tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Staff Communications Officer – A Black and Gold Shoulder Cord w/ gold tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Staff Tactical Officer – A Black and Gold Shoulder Cord w/ gold tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Staff Liaison Officer – A Black and Gold Shoulder Cord w/ gold tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Community Outreach Liaison – A Black and Gold Shoulder Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Flag Lieutenant – A Black and Gold Shoulder Cord. This is the only cord aiguillette and/or authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Any subordinate Staff Officer to the above – A Black and Gold Shoulder Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
STAFF TO THE FIRST SPACE LORD
Chief of Staff – As befits this individual as an Aide-de-Camp to the 1SL First Space Lord, they wear a Gold Aiguillette with gold tips. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Staff Intelligence Officer – A Kelly Green and Gold Shoulder Cord w/ gold tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Staff Communications Officer – A Kelly Green and Gold Shoulder Cord w/ gold tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Flag Lieutenant – A Kelly Green and Gold Shoulder Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Senior Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy – A Kelly Green and Gold Shoulder Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Commanding Officer, HMSS Greenwich, SS-001 – A Gold Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
STAFF TO THE COMMANDANT OF THE ROYAL MANTICORAN MARINE CORPS
Chief of Staff – As befits this individual as an Aide-de-Camp to the Commandant, they wear a Gold Aiguillette with gold tips. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Staff Intelligence Officer – A Gold and Kelly Green Shoulder Cord w/ gold tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Staff Communications Officer – A Gold and Kelly Green Shoulder Cord w/ gold tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Aide-de-Camp – A Gold and Kelly Green Shoulder Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Sergeant Major of the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps – A Gold and Kelly Green Shoulder Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
RMMC Liaison to Saginami Island - A Gold and Kelly Green Shoulder Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Commanding Officer, London Point - A Gold and Kelly Green Shoulder Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Sergeant Major, London Point - A Gold and Kelly Green Shoulder Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
STAFF TO THE MARSHAL OF THE ROYAL MANTICORAN ARMY
Chief of Staff – As befits this individual as an Aide-de-Camp to the Marshal of the Army, they wear a Gold Aiguillette with gold tips. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel – A Gold Cord w/ gold tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence – A Gold Cord w/ gold tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics – A Gold Cord w/ gold tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations – A Gold Cord w/ gold tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Deputy Chief of Staff for Training – A Gold Cord w/ gold tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Flag Lieutenant – A Gold Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Sergeant Major of the Royal Manticoran Army – A Gold Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Commander, King Williams Tower – A Gold Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
STAFF TO THE HIGH ADMIRAL OF THE GRAYSON SPACE NAVY
Chief of Operations – As befits this individual as an Aide-de-Camp to the High Admiral, and by default, the Protector, they wear a Silver Aiguillette with silver tips. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Staff Intelligence Officer – A Silver Shoulder Cord w/ silver tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Staff Communications Officer – A Silver Shoulder Cord w/ silver tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Flag Lieutenant – A Silver Shoulder Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Commanding Officer, GSNSS Katherine Mayhew – A Silver Shoulder Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
STAFF TO THE SPACE LORDS
The following section applies to all Space Lords, with exception to the First Space Lord which is covered above.
Deputy Space Lord – As befits this individual as a Deputy Aide-de-Camp to a Space Lord, they wear a Gold Aiguillette with gold tips. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Chief of Staff – As befits this individual as an Aide-de-Camp to a Space Lord, they wear a Gold Aiguillette with gold tips. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Senior Space Lord Staff (ie. Department Head, Academy Head, Group Manager) – A Kelly Green or Scarlet (based on the Division of the Space Lord) and Gold Shoulder Cord w/ gold tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Junior Space Lord Staff (Instructors, Department Officers, Enlisted) – A Kelly Green or Scarlet (based on the Division of the Space Lord) and Gold Shoulder Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
FLEET COMMANDERS AND THEIR STAFF
Fleet Commander – As befits this individual as an Aide-de-Camp to the First Space Lord, they wear a Gold Aiguillette with gold tips. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Deputy Fleet Commander – A Kelly Green or Scarlet (based on the Division of the Fleet Commander) and Gold Shoulder Cord w/ gold tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Chief of Staff – A Kelly Green or Scarlet (based on the Division of the Space Lord) and Gold Shoulder Cord w/ gold tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Senior Fleet Staff (ie. Fleet Intelligence Officer, Fleet Communications Officer) – A Kelly Green or Scarlet (based on the Division of the Fleet Commander) and Gold Shoulder Cord w/ silver tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Junior Fleet Staff (Including Fleet CPO) – A Kelly Green or Scarlet (based on the Division of the Fleet Commander) and Gold Shoulder Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
UNIFORMED SERVICES OF THE STAR EMPIRE OF MANTICORE
ASTRO CONTROL SERVICES
Head of Astro Control Services – As befits this individual as an Aide-de-Camp to the First Lord of the Admiralty, they wear a Gold Aiguillette with gold tips. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Senior Astro Control Officers – A Black and Gold Shoulder Cord w/ gold tip. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Junior Astro Control Officers and Enlisted – A Black and Gold Shoulder Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
SPHINX FORESTRY COMMISSION AND SERVICE
Commissioner – As befits this individual’s position as an Aide-de-Camp to the First Lord of the Admiralty, this person wears an Aiguillette where both cords are silver with silver tips. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Head Ranger – A Kelly Green and White Shoulder Cord w/ silver tip. This is worn on the right hand side of the uniform. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
Senior Rangers & Sphinx Forestry Service Instructors - A Kelly Green and White Shoulder Cord. This is the only aiguillette and/or cord authorized for wear by this Officer and supersedes all other aiguillettes and/or cords they may have a right to wear.
