BuShips Directive 1609-02 was issued 3 September 2016 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. It changes command of HMS Revenge (SD-317).

Re: Change of Command, HMS Revenge (SD-317)


Chief Hindle:

By the authority of the Third Space Lord, Admiral of the Green Lord Sir John Roberts, KDE, SC, OR, Earl New Mecklenburg, you are hereby requested and required to proceed to HMS Revenge (SD-317), a Medusa-class Pod-laying Superdreadnought currently on station within Tenth Fleet, and assume permanent command, relieving Commodore Sir Joseph Harney, KDE, RMN. You are hereby brevetted to the rank of CAPTAIN (JG), RMN, in accordance with BuShips policy with respect to assuming command of a Battlecruiser type vessel.

Furthermore, the following personnel are hereby appointed to the following billets:

The Bureau of Ships wishes to thank Sir Joseph for his tenure as Commanding Officer of HMS Chainshot and HMS Revenge, and wish him luck in his new capacity as Squadron Commanding Officer.

The above orders are effective on this date, 3 September 2016.
