BuShips Directive 1305-02 was issued 2 May 2013 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. It commissions HMS Valkyrie (SD-355).

My fellow Manticorans,
Effective as of 0001 Hours (EST) on May 2, 2013, it is my pleasure to announce the commissioning of HMS Valkyrie, SD-355, under the command of Captain (SG) Jill McTavish, ME, QBM. This is a Medusa Class Superdreadnought and is assigned to the Second Fleet, based in the Twin Cities area.
As of the date of Commissioning, the following personnel are assigned to HMS Valkyrie:
