Re: RMMC Awards Advisory Council (Corps Directive 05-2204)

One of the ways that tRMN rewards members are through the presentation of awards. While I, as an awarding authority, try to remain impartial in my review of various awards, there are times when remaining impartial is difficult. Therefore, as of the date of this Order, by my hand, and by the authority of the Sovereign, Queen of Manticore Elizabeth III, I hereby create and establish the RMMC Awards Advisory Council.

Purpose
The purpose of the RMMC Awards Advisory Council is to review, discuss, and determine whether or not nominations for certain awards meet the criteria for those awards.

Composition
The RMMC Awards Advisory Council shall consist of the following members:

  1. Deputy Marshal of the Corps
  2. Commanding Officer Forces Command
  3. Sergeant Major of the Corps
  4. RMMC Awards Director
  5. Chief of Staff to the Marshal of the Corps

Membership of the Council can be changed by the Marshal of the Corps at any time to meet the needs of the Corps.

Operating Authority
The RMMC Awards Advisory Council shall operate under the command authority of the Marshal of the Corps and as such shall have the authority to:

  1. Request more information, clarification, and supporting documentation about the award under review.
  2. Request a complete rewrite of any nomination that is deemed to be insufficient.
  3. Reject any award nomination determined not to meet the award criteria.
  4. Send awards deemed to be sufficient to the Marshal of the Corps for final approval.
  5. Publish a list of awardees via approved methods.

Awards
As of the date of this order, the RMMC Awards Advisory Council shall convene to review all nominations for MARDET Unconquered and Colonel of the Corps. However, the Marshal of the Corps can convene the Council if guidance is needed on other awards that fall within the purview of the Marshal of the Corps.

The above effective 27-APR-22.

In Honour of the Queen!

Issued by:
Marshal of the Corps
Lord Sir Sean Niemeyer, KSK, OM, KDE, KCR, GS
Commandant
Royal Manticoran Marine Corps
Duke, New Ulyanovsk
