BuShips Directive 1402-01 was issued 12 February 2014 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. It commissions HMS Hexapuma (CA-412).

My fellow Manticorans,
Effective as of 0001 Hours (EST) on February 12, 2014, it is my pleasure to announce the commissioning of HMS Hexapuma, CA-412, under the command of Captain (j.g.) Jimmy Nelson. This is a Saganami-C Class Heavy Cruiser and is assigned to the Second Fleet, based in Louisville, KY.
As of the date of Commissioning, the following personnel are assigned to HMS Hexapuma:
- Captain (j.g.) Jimmy Nelson (and assigned as CO, HMS Hexapuma)
- Commander Anne Schottler (and assigned as XO, HMS Hexapuma)
- Chief Petty Officer Joe Stevens (and assigned as Bosun, HMS Hexapuma)
- Lieutenant Commander Tonya Nelson
- Petty Officer 2nd Class Liz Stevens
- Spacer 3rd Class Brendon Nelson
- Spacer 3rd Class Caleb Nelson
- Spacer 3rd Class Willie Schottler
