Corps Directive 01-1605 was issued 23 October 2016 under the authority of the Marshal of the Corps. This directive outlines and establishes the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps Specialization Program.

To:	All Officers and Enlisted in the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps

Re:	RMMC Specializations (Corps Directive 01-1605)

One of my goals as Marshal of the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps is not only to build out the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps, but to also increase the number of avenues that members of tRMN may explore and participate in. One of the areas that is missing are specialties. While the RMN has technical specialties, the RMMC has no such program. Therefore, as of the date of this Order, by my hand, and by the authority of the Sovereign, Queen of Manticore Elizabeth III, I hereby institute the following specialization program within the RMMC.

Royal Manticoran Marine Corps Specialization Program

General

1. All Marines will be broken down into three main groups: General Duty Marines, General Duty Marine Officers, and Specialists (Enlisted and Officer)
   1. General Duty Marine: Any individual of enlisted rank in the RMMC that has not chosen or trained for a specialization. No testing is required for this designation. This is the default designation for any enlisted Marine in the RMMC
   2. General Duty Marine Officer: Any individual of officer rank in the RMMC that has not chosen or trained for a specialization. No testing is required for this designation. This is the default designation for any Marine officer in the RMMC.
   3. Specialists: Any individual of enlisted or officer rank, who has trained for a specialization and met the requirements as set forth by the RMMC Academy Director, and as amended by any Corps Directive, to be recognized as a specialist in a certain area.
2. Participation in the RMMC Specialization Program is completely VOLUNTARY and shall not be used as a basis for or in consideration for any promotion.
3. In order to be officially recognized by the RMMC as a specialist, a Marine must meet any and all requirements as set forth by the RMMC Academy Director for each specialty as well as the following:
   1. Enlisted Marines must take at a minimum the Basic Rifleman’s Course and Damage Control Technician A as part of their coursework.
   2. Officers must take at a minimum the Advanced Rifleman’s Course and Damage Control Technician C as part of their coursework.
4. A Marine may take and complete the coursework for any of the specialties outlined in this Corps Directive and be considered a specialist in multiple technical areas.

Marine Enlisted Specialties

This section outlines the various RMMC Enlisted Specialties available to members. Next to each specialty is a role-playing description. These descriptions are for role-playing

• Armorer: Armorers are responsible for keeping everything in the RMMC arsenal working perfectly in any condition.
• Clerk: Clerks are experts in human resources, information management, administrative support, and accounting within the RMMC.
• Assault Engineer: Assault Engineers are trained to build bridges, field defenses, obstacles and other structures used in RMMC operations. They are also trained in mine warfare, demolition, and the use of explosives. RMMC Assault Engineers are adept at breaching the hulls of enemy vessels.
• Combat Intelligence: Combat Intelligence marines gather information on the enemy. They analyze information and turn it into intelligence which is then passed on through written or oral briefs and graphics. These briefs are then used to plan operations.
• Communications Technician: Communications Technicians are responsible for using state-of-the-art electronic warfare equipment to intercept and analyze enemy communications activity to help determine their actions. This information will help RMMC commanders to plan and carry our operations.
• Drill Instructor: Drill Instructors train new recruits and take overall responsibility for ceremonial drills, drills on state occasions, and other such occasions.
• Embassy Guard: Embassy Guards are tasked with the security of diplomatic installations and personnel on various worlds.
• Heavy Weapons: Heavy Weapons marines are highly-trained in the use of tactics associated with heavy weapons employed by the RMMC.
• Reconnaissance: Reconnaissance marines are highly-trained in the art of long-range reconnaissance. These marines operate in small groups forward of our own lines and report information back to command. Reconnaissance marines are trained to work in all environments.
• Platoon Weapons Instructor: These marines are highly-trained and highly-skilled. They train fellow marines, Non-Commissioned Officers, and Officers, in all aspects of weapons handling and marksmanship. More senior instructors may also be called upon to train snipers and work with other armed forces from other nations.
• Stores Accountant: These marines make sure Royal Manticoran Marines have the right equipment in the right place, at the right time.
• Military Police: These marines are in charge of security when planetside and assist a ship’s security department when onboard, as well as enforcing the law. These marines are responsible for protecting senior officers on operations.
• Physical Training Instructor: These marines are responsible for developing physical training and combat conditioning, sport, adventure and recreational training for both recruits and trained marines.
• Signaler: These marines provide direct, close-support communications between a MARDET and other Manticoran forces in the field. These marines are also trained in electronics and telecommunications, and are involved in repairing communications links.
• Yeoman of Signals: These marines are Senior Non-Commissioned Officers in the communications field. They manage complex communications planning for brigade level operations.

This section outlines the various RMMC Officer Specialties available to members. Next to each specialty is a role-playing description. These descriptions are for role-playing

• Heavy Weapons Officer: These officers are trained how to tactically use RMMC heavy weapons.
• Intelligence Officer: These officers are trained to pull together and interpret information that senior officer need to make vital decisions.
• Reconnaissance Officer: These officers are highly-trained in the art of long-range reconnaissance. These officers lead RMMC reconnaissance groups.
• Physical Training Officer: These officers plan and manage programs for large number of marines.
