HMS Helen Zilwicki (CA-548) is a Saganami-C-class Heavy cruiser within Eighth Fleet. Commanded by CAPTJG Eddy Roberts, Helen Zilwicki claims Salt Lake City, Utah as her charter city, and is also the division flagship of CruDiv 801, which claims the entire American state of Utah as its operating area.
History
Helen Zilwicki was first brought into commission on 02 June 2014 under the command of CAPTJG Joseph Morgan in Third Fleet by order of BuShips. This was a ship upgrade for the crew of HMS Devastation in Chesapeake, Virginia. After Captain Morgan's behavior at MarsCon 2015, the XO, Joseph Lyons, was promoted to command. She has participated in many Fleet Events, including MarsCon, HonorCon, and others. However, due to the spread-out nature of the Hampton Roads region, it was thought better to create a LAC Carrier, allowing smaller groups in their geographic regions to have their own identity. So the crew upgraded to HMS Spectre on 06 May 2015 and Zilwicki was placed in Reserve status. Eventually, the Zilwicki was pulled out of reserves on ship was split into the western suburbs on the Adcock, and the rest of SLC on board HMS Helen Zilwicki on 01 November 2015, forming CruDiv 801.
