Army Directive 2009-01 was issued 24 September 2020 under the authority of the Marshal of the Army. It appointed a commanding officer of the Monarch's Own Regiment.

As of 0001 hours, Wednesday September 24, 2020, Field Marshal Beau Thacker (RMN-0550-12) is by my Authority as Marshal of the Royal Manticoran Army, appointed to the position of Commanding Officer (Provisional) of the Queen’s Own Regiment with all rights and responsibilities associated with that role.
Field Marshal Thacker, you are directed and required to report forthwith to King William’s Tower to assume the duties and responsibilities inherent to this post for the purpose of standing up all active elements of the Queen’s Own so that we may attend to our Queen and her subjects in a manner in keeping with the hallowed honor of our service.
