From: Marshal Sean Niemeyer, Marshal of the Corps
Re: Changes to RMMC Structure (Corps Directive 04-1407)

In order to bring the RMMC in line with official canon and to simplify the command structure some changes to that RMMC command structure need to be made. Therefore as of the date of this Order, by my hand, and by the authority of the Sovereign, Queen of Manticore Elizabeth III, I hereby make the following changes to the RMMC command structure.

Echelon Breakdown
The following echelons are removed as valid unit sizes; brigade, division, expeditionary force, planetary force, and corps. The largest size of any one single unit or collection of smaller units will be the regiment.

Corps
With the removal of planetary forces the various Corps’ of the RMMC are to be reorganized. Corps’ will now refer to a group of expeditionary forces within the RMMC. The following will now be the organization of the Corps’ within the RMMC;

  1. First Corps – London Point, North and South America
  2. Second Corps – Europe and Africa
  3. Third Corps – Asia and Australia
  4. Forth Corps – BuNine

This command level will not be staffed at this time. COMFORCECOM is to be considered the CO of a Corps and has command authority over the various corps’.

Expeditionary Forces
Expeditionary forces will now refer to a group of regiments. Numbering and composition are to remain unchanged, with exception to the Ninth Expeditionary Force, which is hereby retired and removed from service. London Point and BuNine are non-deployable regiments are not part of any expeditionary force.

This command level will not be staffed at this time. COMFORCECOM is to be considered the CO of an expeditionary force and has command authority over the various expeditionary forces.

Regiments To enhance role-play and to establish a firm chain of command a single regiment per expeditionary force is to be activated. These will serve as the seed regiments for the various expeditionary forces. The seed regiments are to be considered standing regiments and as such are not bound by the minimum number of marines requirement as shown in the echelon breakdown chart.

The following regiments are hereby established:

  1. First Corps, First Expeditionary Force - "The Manticore Guard Regiment" aka Manticore Guards
  2. First Corps, Second Expeditionary Force - "The Gryphon Highlander Regiment" aka Gryphon Highlanders
  3. First Corps, Third Expeditionary Force - "The Montanero Regiment"
  4. First Corps, Fourth Expeditionary Force - "The New Covenant Regiment"
  5. First Corps, Sixth Expeditionary Force - "Tannerman Rifle Regiment" aka Tannerman Rifles
  6. First Corps, Eighth Expeditionary Force - "The Medusa Regiment"
  7. First Corps, Tenth Expeditionary Force - "The Lynx Regiment"
  8. Second Corps, Seventh Expeditionary Force - "The Gregor Regiment"
  9. Third Corps, Fifth Expeditionary Force - "Royal Adrianne's Regiment"
  10. Fourth Corps, Torch Fleet - "The Amistad Regiment"

All currently activated and deployed MARDETs within the various expeditionary forces will automatically become part of one of the above regiments.

Until such time that a local regimental HQ can be established, COMFORCECOM is to be considered the CO of a regiment and has command authority over the various regiments. If at some point the number of marines in a seed regiment meets or exceeds the minimum number of marines required then COMFORCECOM may at their discretion establish a local regimental HQ staffed by marines from within the regiment. At such time COMFORCECOM ceases to be the CO of the regiment, but still retains command authority over it as COMFORCECOM. The Commandant, RMMC retains command authority over all units in the RMMC.

All new regiments created outside of the initial seed regiments must meet the minimum number of marines requirement and must be part of an expeditionary force. New regiments may only be created once the required minimum number of marines have been met and may only contain whole subunits and not fractions thereof. Names of new regiments will be determined by COMFORCECOM.

London Point Regiment
In addition to the creation of the above regiments, the current London Point regiment is hereby named "The Sovereign's Regiment of Fusiliers" aka Soverign's Fusiliers.

The above effective 0000 hrs. 28 JUL, 2014.

In Honour of the Queen!

Issued by:
Marshal of the Corps
Lord Sir Sean Niemeyer, KCR, KDE, GS
Commandant
Royal Manticoran Marine Corps
First Earl, New Ulyanovsk
