BuShips Directive 1712-01 was issued 01 December 2017 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive re-commissions HMS Tornado (DD-488).

Attention to Orders:
Effective as of 0001 Hours on 01 December 2017, it is my pleasure and privilege to announce the re-commissioning of HMS Tornado (DD-488). This is a Roland-class Destroyer and is assigned to the Second Fleet (Lansing, MI, USA).
The following personnel are hereby transferred and permanently assigned to HMS Tornado (DD-488):

Subsequent to this commissioning, HMLAC Tiger's Pride (LAC-022) shall be transferred to the Active Fleet Reserves, following inspection and any repairs deemed necessary. This vessel shall be made available for recommissioning at a later date.
