RMA Combat Infantry Badge

Combat Infantry Badge

The Royal Manticoran Army Combat Infantry Badge (CIB) is issued in acknowledgement of active participation across TRMN for Army members.

The program is governed by Army Directive 2111-05.

Qualifications

The Combat Infantry Badge can be awarded to any TRMN member, but only soldiers in the Royal Manticoran Army or military personnel of the Grand Alliance assigned to an Army installation or unit in a support capacity, or a Colonel of the Regiment when wearing RMA uniform, may wear such a device. That soldier must reach a total of twenty (20) points in qualifications in the four categories below, with the provision that members must have at least (2) points from each category. Both enlisted and officers are qualified to wear the CIB and the requirements are the same for both.

1. Marksmanship

Current Grand Alliance Marksmanship Manual is available for download at https://trmn.org/miscellaneous-manuals/

**Each issuance of a Marksmanship Award counts as (2) points, so the first award is (2) points then an additional (2) thereafter.**

2. Charity

The Charity awards that count for purposes of the CIB include both issuances of the Grand Alliance Campaign Medal AND issuances of the Order of Queen Elizabeth Medals (or branch equivalent).

**Each issuance of a GACM or OQE medal counts as (2) points, so the first award is (2) points then an additional (2) for each level of OQE or issuance of GACM. If the member gave enough to OQE to skip a level-then the level(s) skipped count as (2) points each as well.**

3. Academics

Attending any Academy within BuTrain and completing courses will earn you .5 points per course.

**Example: 4 RMA academy courses equal 2 points.**

4. Event Participation

By earning a Prisoner of War Medal, Silesian Peacekeeping and Observation Medal, Masadan Occupation Medal, Havenite War Campaign Medal, or Havenite Operational Service Medal (or branch equivalent) you can earn (2) points per issuance.

Request For Award

To apply for the Combat Infantry badge, please email the Deputy Marshal at deputy@rma.trmn.org and the link to the Google Form will be sent to you. Once you have filled out the information, and approved, then the award will be emailed to you and announced on forums.

RMACS Aerospace Wings

The intent behind the Aerospace Wings awards program is to foster and encourage interest in flight among the members of TRMN. The primary aim is to develop an interest in real-world flight and piloting, but for those who have the interest but otherwise lack the ability, there are grades for simulation and courses. It is CRUCIAL to understand that award of these wings do NOT in any way imply real-world qualifications under FAA or other national flight regulatory bodies.

With one exception, each grade and class of Aerospace wings is available in gold for officers and silver for enlisted. The designs of each grade are otherwise identical.

To be awarded the appropriate wings all requirements, listed here, must be verified by the BuTrain Awards Office.

The program is governed by PD-SC-1010 Aerospace Wings Qualification Policy.

RMMC Fleet Marine Force Corpsman

Fleet Marine Force Corpsmen are those Naval Corpsmen who have undergone extra training in order to deploy with a RMMC Marine unit, as an integral part of that unit. Corpsmen who have successfully challenged this training may add the designator (FMF) after their rate. For example, Corpsman 2nd Class Bloggins, having qualified for Fleet Marine Force, would be identified as CR2 (FMF) Bloggins.

Qualifications

Level I

In addition to successful completion of Corpsman 'A' and 'C' courses (SIA-SRN-23A and SIA-SRN-23C), Level I qualification requires successful completion of Rifleman 'A' and 'C' courses (SIA-SRMC-07A and SIA-SRMC-07C). Minimum rate for Level I qualification is E-1.

Level II

This qualification builds on Level I. In addition to meeting the requirements of Level I, candidates for Level II must complete Assault Marine 'A' and 'C' courses (SIA-SRMC-05A and SIA-SRMC-05C). Candidates must also be at least E-4 pay grade.

Level III

The highest level of qualification builds on Level II, and requires the completion of Recon Marine training to 'A' and 'C' levels (SIA-SRMC-06A and SIA-SRMC-06C). Minimum pay grade for this level is E-6.

Authorized Uniform

There is no pin or ribbon to indicate FMF qualification. Corpsmen attached to Marine units as FMF Corpsmen are authorized the wear of RMMC field, working, service undress and service dress uniforms if they so choose, with the following differences:

  • While they may wear the RMMC green beret, they will wear the RMN badge, not the RMMC badge.
  • Rank insignia on the uniforms shall be RMN rank insignia.
  • In place of the regimental patch, they shall wear the Corpsman rating badge.

Hyper Command Star

The display of a Hyper Command Star indicates that a member has served as the commander of one hyper-capable chapter within the RMN as defined by BuShips. In order to qualify to wear a Hyper Command Star, the member must have served as a commander either for no less than 6 months or as a “keel-plate” owner at the inception of a hyper-capable chapter.

Issuance

The Hyper Command Star is issued by the Third Space Lord (BuShips) when the conditions have been met. Multiple commands result in multiple stars. There is no device used with it.

Placement

The correct placement of the Hyper Command Star on the RMN uniform is one inch above the ribbon rack, halfway between the ribbon rack and the edge of the plastron.
