Destroyer Division 921 (abbrev: DesDiv 921) is a defunct Destroyer division that reported to Task Group 91.1 within the Tenth Fleet. Commanded by then-CDR Jack Yeager, from his flagship HMS Roland, this division's area of operations included Contra Costa County and the Greater Sacramento area of California.
History
DesDiv 231 was formed and established in June 2016 with Naval Directive 16JUN-01 from the acting First Space Lord, ADM Lord Sir John Roberts, to CDR Yeager to assume command. Its charter member vessels were HMS Roland (flagship) and HMS Chainshot. The division was dissolved on August 23, 2016, when Roland upgraded to the superdreadnought, HMS Intractable. With only Chainshot left within the division, it was rendered an unsustainable echelon force.
