Corps Directive 03-1406 was issued 28 June 2014 under the authority of the Marshal of the Corps. It establishes a minimum time between changes in echelon size.

The Royal Marine Corps does not wish to stifle the ability of our MARDETs to role play their way through the Honorverse, but we must do so in such a manner that ensures the stability of the unit, the RMMC, and tRMN as a whole. Therefore as of the date of this Order, by my hand, and by the authority of the Sovereign, Queen of Manticore Elizabeth III, and in accordance with Admiralty Order 1204-04 I hereby establish the following policy with regards to MARDETs changing echelon sizes.
Any MARDET wishing to upgrade echelon size must wait a minimum of three months before changing echelon sizes.
The above effective 28-JUNE-14.
