Corps Directive 02-1109 was issued 12 September 2011 under the authority of the Marshal of the Corps. It defines the chain of command for the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps.

Order Text

To:	All Officers and Enlisted in the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps
From:	Marshal of the Corps Sean Niemeyer, Commandant of the RMMC
Re:	Chain of Command (Corps Directive 02-1109)

As of the date of this Order, by my hand, and by the authority of the Sovereign, Queen of Manticore Elizabeth III, I hereby create and establish the following Chain of Command (CoC):

1. In order from bottom to top: Section Leader – Squad Leader – Platoon Leader – Company Commander – Battalion Commander – Regimental Commander – Brigade Commander – Division Commander – Force Commander – Planetary Commander – Corps Commander – Commander Marine Forces Command (COMFORCECOM) – Commandant RMMC – First Lord of the Admiralty

I also hereby create and establish the following policies and procedures with regard to the CoC as outlined above:

1. Marines in the RMMC must make a good faith effort to follow the CoC.
2. If a position in the CoC is not filled or not active then that step of the CoC is to be skipped and the next step is utilized instead.
