BuTrain Order 005-24 was issued on 12 December 2024 by the Sixth Space Lord. It defined the requirements for the Royal Manticoran Army's Orbital Warfare Badge.

The Army Orbital Warfare Badge

This order establishes the course work criteria for the Army Orbital Warfare Badge. It will recognize people who have cross trained across the Army Staff Specializations.

Enlisted Officer
S 1 (Personnel) Basic Ground Forces
Personnel Management (A)
Advanced Ground Forces
Personnel Management (C)
S 2 (Security) Advanced Special Operations
and Intelligence Course (C)
Expert Special Operations
and Intelligence Course (D)
S 3 (Operations/Training) Any 2 C courses from Force
Deployment and Operations Department
Any two D courses from Force
Deployment and Operations Department
S 4 (Logistics) Basic Ground Forces
Logistics and Finance Course (A)
Expert Ground Forces
Logistics and Finance Course (D) and
Advanced Combat Engineering Course (C)



Most of these courses are still in redevelopment and the following substitutions will operate to allow army members to earn the badge while KR1MA MOS school is in the process of opening.


Ground Forces Personnel Management = Navy TSC Personnelman
Special Operations and Intelligence Course = Marine Military Police
Force Deployment and Ops Department = Marine Special Teams[1]
Ground Forces Logistics and Finance = Marine Administration Course
Combat Engineering Course = Any Naval or Merchant Marine Engineering course.

As the Army courses come online, they will replace the substitutions, with a 60-day crossover to allow people who have started a substitute course to finish that.

To apply for the pin, fill out the form at this address. The BuTrain office will assess your application and if you are successful will announce in the following months’ award announcement.
