Admiralty Order 1701-04

Admiralty Order 1701-04 was issued January 9th, 2017 by the First Lord of the Admiralty. This order delegates authority to promote officers to the O-2 level to fleet commanders.

Order Text

To:	All Officers and Enlisted in the Royal Manticoran Navy, Marine Corps and Army, Grayson Space Navy, Imperial Andermani Navy, Republic of Haven Navy, and Civilian Corps
From:	Martin Lessem, KSK, GCR, GCE, DSO, CGM, GS, Admiral of the Fleet, First Lord of the Admiralty, Duke, New Scania
Re:	Fleet Commanders Authority – Promotions to O-2 (Admiralty Order 1701-04)

As of the date of this Order, Fleet Commanders and their equivalents from the RMMC and RMA, have the authority to promote members to the ranks associated with the O-2. These promotions are still required to meet the criteria and requirements for promotion laid out in Admiralty Order 1701-01. Regular Audits will be performed on all O-2 promotions by BuPers at least once every 6 months. Any individuals failing to meet the requirements during an audit will be reverted to their original rank.
