BuShips Directive 1712-01 was issued 01 December 2017 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive re-commissions HMS Tornado.

Attention to Orders:
Effective as of 0001 Hours on 01 December 2017, it is my pleasure and privilege to announce the re-commissioning of HMS Tornado (DD-488). This is a Roland-class Destroyer and is assigned to the Second Fleet (Lansing, MI, USA).
The following personnel are hereby transferred and permanently assigned to HMS Tornado (DD-488):

Subsequent to this commissioning, HMLAC Tiger's Pride shall be transferred to the Active Fleet Reserves, following inspection and any repairs deemed necessary. This vessel shall be made available for recommissioning at a later date.
