Re: Establishment of Royal Manticoran Navy Honor Societies

By my hand, and by the authority of the Sovereign, Queen of Manticore, Elizabeth III, I hereby establish two Honor Societies for those who complete Royal Manticoran Navy courses from the Saganami Island Naval Academy:

Membership in the Mark West Society is offered to those of the Grand Alliance who have completed all of the RMN Enlisted Courses (SIA-RMN-0001 through SIA-RMN-0006) and all of the RMN Warrant Officer Courses (SIA-RMN-0011 through SIA-RMN-0013). There are four levels to the Mark West Society, depending on how well the student performed in these courses.

Membership in the Ellen D'Orville Society is offered to those of the Grand Alliance who have completed all the RMN Officer Courses (SIA-RMN-0101 through SIA-RMN-0106 plus SIA-RMN-0113 and SIA-RMN-0115). There are four levels to the Ellen D'Orville Society, depending on how well the student performed in these courses (the highest two levels also require the completion of all five RMN War College courses).

In Honor of the Queen!

There were two attachments outlining information about each society:

Mark West Society

The Saganami Island Naval Academy hereby establishes a society in honor of Captain Mark West, GSN, who played an important role in RMN Enlisted and Warrant Officer education. Membership in the Mark West Society is offered to those of the Grand Alliance who have completed all of the RMN Enlisted Courses (SIA RMN-0001 through SIA-RMN-0006) and all of the RMN Warrant Officer Courses (SIA-RMN-0011 through SIA RMN 0013). There are four levels to the Mark West Society:

  • Member: Grades for all nine courses of at least 70%.
  • Cum Laude Member: Average grade of at least 90%.
  • Magna Cum Laude Member: All grades of at least 90%.
  • Summa Cum Laude Member: All grades of 100%.

Creator and Beta-Tester grades count as 100% for the purposes of calculating these averages (beta-testing a new version of an exam will not change existing grades for that exam).

Ellen D'Orville Society

The Saganami Island Naval Academy hereby establishes a society in honor of Rear Admiral Ellen D'Orville, RMN, who played an important role in RMN Officer and Flag Officer education. Membership in the Ellen D'Orville Society is offered to those of the Grand Alliance who have completed all the RMN Officer Courses (SIA-RMN-0101 through SIA-RMN-0106 plus SIA RMN-0113 and SIA-RMN-0115).
