Admiralty Order 2103-02 was issued 28 Mar 2021 by the First Lord of the Admiralty. This order defines the Policy Document naming and numbering scheme.

Re:	Policy Document Naming and Numbering Scheme (Admiralty Order 2103-02)

As of the publication of this Order, the following is effective:

• Policy Document Naming will adhere to the following format:
  • PD-DEP-XXXX

• PD = Policy Document
• DEP = DEPARTMENT (ie. FLA, 1SL, 2SL, 3SL, 4SL, 5SL, 6SL, 7SL, RMC, RMA, SCA, SFC, RMM, DIP, ITL, CIV, GSN, IAN, RHN)
• XXXX = Number

Policy Document Numbering will adhere to the following format:

• 1000’s – Office/Headquarters Policies
• 2000’s – Award Related Policies
• 3000’s – Operational Policies
• 4000’s – Personnel/Database Policies
• 5000’s – Publication Policies (includes web and social media)
• 6000’s – Leadership/Management/Mentoring Policies
• 7000 – 9000’s – For further expansion
