BuShips Directive 1610-17 was issued 31 October 2016 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. It decommissions HMS Devastation (DD-44).

As of the date of this Order, by my hand, and by the authority of the Sovereign, Queen of Manticore Elizabeth III, I Decommission HMS Devastation (DD-44), and place the ship in the Reserve Fleet for future use as may be needed. The crew of this vessel is hereby transferred to HMS Beowulf (BC-739).
This order made under my hand will be effective 0001 hours 31-OCT-16
