BuShips Directive 1407-04 was issued 19 July 2014 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. It commissions HMS Merlin (CA-270).
Order Text
My fellow Manticorans,
Effective as of 0001 Hours (EST) on July 19, 2014, it is my pleasure to announce the commissioning of HMS Merlin, CA-270, under the command of Captain, junior grade Christopher Beilby. This is a Star Knight Class Heavy Cruiser and is assigned to the Tenth Fleet, based in Santa Ana, CA.
As of the date of Commissioning, the following personnel are assigned to HMS Merlin:
- Captain, j.g. Christopher Beilby (assigned as CO of HMS Merlin)
- Commander Steve Condrey (assigned as XO of HMS Merlin)
- Chief Petty Officer Lara Beilby (assigned as Bosun of HMS Merlin)
- Lieutenant, senior grade Sharon Landry
- Spacer 2nd Class Susan Fox
- Spacer 3rd Class Anthony Conchelos
- Spacer 3rd Class Aaron Davis
- Spacer 3rd Class Carl Nelson
- Spacer 3rd Class Bridget Landry
- Spacer 3rd Class Peter Woodruff
- Spacer 3rd Class Thomas Grellner
- Spacer 3rd Class Dena Guerry
The following personnel are breveted in rank as indicated below:
- Christopher Beilby to Captain, junior grade
- Steve Condrey to Commander
This also places HMS Bedivere into the Reserve Fleet for future use as needed
