From:	Lieutenant General Sutherland, KSK, KDE, MC, OG, NS, DSO
Re:	Reactivation and echelon designation of Marine Detachment Medusa (FORCEORDER 2207-C)

By my hand, and by the authority of the Sovereign, Queen of Manticore Elizabeth III, I hereby order the reactivation of the Marine Detachment aboard HMS Medusa (SD-316), Captain (JG) Timber Lupindo, KE, DGC, CMG, RMN commanding, effective 6 July 2022.

The Medusa Marine Detachment will be a Battalion - sized echelon, assigned to 1st Corps, 10th Expeditionary Force, 10th RMMC Rifle Regiment, The Lynx Regiment.

The command triad of MARDET Medusa will be as follows:

Battalion Commander – Major Gary Burns, OE, QBM, CBM, RMMC
Battalion Executive Officer – Lieutenant Colonel Joe Cahill, RMMC
Battalion NCOIC/Gunny – First Sergeant Andrew Jenner, KE, RMMC

The following Marines are assigned to Marine Detachment Medusa:

In addition the following echelon designation is authorized:

Marine Detachment Medusa is designated as First Battalion of the Lynx Regiment.

In addition the Unit Awards previously earned by Marine Detachment Medusa are authorized by Marine Forces Command to be displayed on the guidon of the Marine Detachment.
