BuTrain Directive 002-21 was issued on 20 June 2021 by the Sixth Space Lord. This order creates the IAN Honor Society for academic achievement.

In the spirit of the Mark West Honor Society, the Ellen D’Orville Honor Society, the Sterphania Grimm Honor Society, and the Chiron House, the Bureau of Training in concert with the Imperial Andermani Navy is creating the Chancellor Rose Bud Society, an honor society to recognize those members who have taken the time to complete the coursework at the Prinz Adalbert Marineakademie (PAMA).
This society was created to encourage members of the Grand Alliance to complete the PAMA rank coursework and to recognize those members who have completed it to a high standard. The Society is named for the one-time Chancellor of the Andermani Empire and a reminder that a good education is the key to a strong and prosperous empire.
Membership in the Chancellor Rose Bud Society is offered to those members of the Grand Alliance who have completed enlisted, officer, and/or flag courses at the Prinz Adalbert Marineakademie (PAMA-IAN-0001 through PAMA-IAN-1005). There are two membership tiers:
- The Chancellor Rose Bud Society (Society) Membership: This is the main membership in the Society itself. It has 5 levels, which are based on both the number of course completions as well as the quality of achievement on each.
- The Orders of Merit (Order), one each for enlisted, officer, and flag courses, with three membership levels within each Order. You must become a member of the Society before being eligible for entry into one of the three Orders.
Chancellor Rose Bud Society Membership
Entry into the Society is determined by a point system. For each rank course completed, the student earns 1 point for passing, 2 points for earning honors, and 3 points for earning high honors. Upon earning at least ten points, an individual will be entered into the Society. Thereafter, they will be promoted to the next higher level of the Society as additional points are earned.
- Initiate: 10 pts
- 4th Class: 17 pts
- 3rd Class: 26 pts
- 2nd Class: 34 pts
- 1st Class: 43 pts
- Grand Rose: 50 pts
This system reinforces the idea that by increasing your education you bring increasing honor to the Empire and to your family.
Orders of Merit
Upon completion of all courses within each school (enlisted, officer, and flag), a member of the Society is eligible to become a member of the Order of Merit for that school. You must become a member of the Society before being eligible for entry into one of the three Orders.
The three orders are:
- Orden vom Weißen Adler (Order of the White Eagle): Completion of all 6 Enlisted courses
- Orden vom Schwarzen Adler (Order of the Black Eagle): Completion of all 6 Officer courses
- Orden vom Roten Adler (Order of the Red Eagle): Completion of all 5 Flag courses
Each order has 3 levels:
- Komtur (Commander) (bronze): Anyone who has received at least Passing in all coursework for that school.
- Meister (Master) (silver): Anyone who has received at least Honors in all coursework for that school.
- Marschall (Marshal) (gold): Anyone who achieves High Honors in all coursework for that school
To Join
To become a member of the Society or an Order or raise up in level of each, fill out the following form. This will alert the staff of PAMA to begin a review. Upon completion, you will be contacted and, if appropriate, bestowed the award.
