Order Text
To: | All Officers and Enlisted in the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps |
From: | Marshal Sean Niemeyer, Marshal of the Corps |
Re: | London Point (Corps Directive 01-1411) |
For most marines of the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps London Point is their first foray into the service of the Queen. Most marines have then transferred to other duty stations, but there remains a contingent that has not. London Point was never meant to be a permanent duty station, but it has become clear that for some it has become just that. Therefore as of the date of this Order, by my hand, and by the authority of the Sovereign, Queen of Manticore Elizabeth III, I hereby set the following policies and procedures with regards to London Point;
Organization
London Point shall be organized as a permanent standing MARDET with a minimum size of regiment.
Command
Commanding Officer: The Commanding Officer London Point shall be appointed by and serve at the leisure of the Commandant of the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps and have a minimum rank of Colonel. The Commanding Officer London Point duties include but are not limited to;
- Attending to the day-to-day business of the Regiment,
- Contact the current members of the Regiment to determine any time-in-grade promotions, awards, etc… that members may have earned,
- Coordinate with COMFORCECOM to place marines that wish to transfer either with other active units or chapters in their area or start Assault Shuttles in areas where no chapters exist.
Executive Officer: The Executive Officer London Point shall be appointed by and serve at the leisure of the Commanding Officer London Point and have a minimum rank of Lieutenant Colonel. The Executive Officer London Point shall assist the Commanding Officer London Point when necessary.
Regimental Sergeant Major: The Regimental Sergeant Major shall be appointed by and serve at the leisure of the Commanding Officer London Point and have a rank of Regimental Sergeant Major. The Regimental Sergeant Major shall have the following duties, but shall not be limited to;
- Assisting the Commanding Officer with the day-to-day business of the Regiment.
Reporting
The Commanding Officer shall submit reports to COMFORCECOM per established reporting schedules.
Command Authority
Because of the unique nature of London Point, the Commandant of the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps, retains command authority of the regiment.
The above effective 24 Nov, 2014 and supersedes CD 02-1308.
In Honour of the Queen!
