Introduction

The Military Occupational Specialties Center (MOSC) is the home of the Royal Manticoran Army Occupational Specialty School, the Royal Manticoran Marine Corps Technical Specialties College, and all associated instructors. Here, the soldiers and marines of the Grand Alliance will pursue specialized coursework that will help take on specific billets, command specialized companies, or hone their specialization in pursuit of a Monarch’s Warrant.

Specializations in both the Army and Marine Corps schools have three associated course levels -- A, C, and D. In addition, students may pursue an independent warrant (W) project.

  1. The A course is designed to teach enlisted personnel how to perform the basic duties of their MOS/rating. Successful completion of the A-level course would allow the member to pursue C-level coursework and have their billet changed to include the specialist MOS/rating.
  2. The C course is designed for non-commissioned officers in the MOS/rating to expand their knowledge and leadership within their chosen specialization. Successful completion of the C-level course would allow the member to pursue D-level coursework and have their billet changed to include the advanced specialist MOS/rating.
  3. The D course is designed for officers and will allow the member to become a specialized Company Commander (or equivalent) for their specialty. In addition, individuals who complete all the D-level courses in a department are qualified to lead such a department onboard ship (marines) or within higher echelon commands (army).
  4. The Warrant (or W) project is an independent project open to all students who meet the prerequisites to offer them a chance to deepen their learning and/or advance in the specialty in some way. Projects are highly individualized and are agreed to between the student and the instructor based on BuTrain guidelines.
