Meritorious Service to Society

TRMN MEDAL Knighthood for Meritorious Service to Society (Tier 1 award) Authority: Steering Committee Frequency: Once Awarded bi-annually in April and October.

Criteria

This order is awarded for distinguished service in the armed forces, but also for service to science, art, literature or the promotion of culture. The Monarch, through the First Lord of the Admiralty, accepts members into the order based on the advice of the Senior Officers. This order comes in only one class, Knight, and is not hereditary.
