Re: Uniform of the Day (Corps Directive 04-1110)

As of the date of this Order, by my hand, and by the authority of the Sovereign, Queen of Manticore Elizabeth III, I hereby establish the following Uniform of the Day policy:

Before each function the local unit command shall set the Uniform of the Day (UoD). The uniform chosen should be based on the type of event that the unit will be attending. For example the company leader aboard the HMS Merlin is going to be attending a convention and so set the uniform of the day as Class “A”. If the company was going to be drilling he would then set the uniform of the day as Class ‘D’. The local unit commander should make an effort to contact all marines under his/her command to inform them of the uniform of the day. Ample time should be given (1 to 2 weeks) to members of the RMMC between the setting of the UoD and the event. This way member’s can be sure to have their uniforms in order and ready for the event.

The uniform of the day can be overridden by any link higher in the chain of command. For example the unit commander of the HMS Merlin set the UoD to Class ‘D’ for the convention, however the Commandant of the RMMC will be attendance and so decides to set the UoD as Class ‘A’ for all RMMC personnel in attendance at the convention.

The above effective 19-OCT-11

In Honour of the Queen!

Issued by:
Marshal of the Corps Sir Sean Niemeyer, KCR
Commandant
Royal Manticoran Marine Corps
First Earl, New Ulyanovsk
