Fleet Order 1609-A was issued 19 September 2016 by Commanding Officer Second Fleet. This order recalled Pinnace Ajax-01 and reassigned its crew to HMS Ajax.

Effective 28OCT2016, PINNACE AJAX-01, commanded by Ensign Paul McPherson, is hereby ordered returned to the boat bay of HMS Ajax BC-545. ENS McPherson and crew are ordered to report for reassignment aboard Ajax. Thank you for your pinnace operations deployment!
